PRE-TREKKING CONVERSATION OF SALKANTAY TREK 3 DAYS: It is essential to meet our local guide, who knows the entire tourist circuit of the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu in 3 days.

Our adventure guide gives all the recommendations to enjoy the whole experience around the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu buffer zone. THE BRIEFING IS AT 06:00 pm one day before starting the tour at the reception of the visitors’ hotel. All questions are welcome, and we will answer all of them.

Day 01: Cusco – Soraypampa – Humantay Lagoon

Our Salkantay Trek 3 Days does not start too early nor too late for the best enjoyment of the vacation to MACHU PICCHU. Additionally, please bring thermal clothing for the first night and the beginning of day two because it is pretty cold in the foothills of Salkantay and when we ride the horses.

It is also essential to mention that the backpack to carry your things must have an adequate weight for each hiker. THE LESS WEIGHT, the greater the enjoyment of the adventure because each hiker carries their adventurous backpack.

WE LEAVE CUSCO in our vehicle at 06:30, neither too early nor too late, heading northwest to reach the town of Mollepata and continue the trip to SORAYPAMPA.

We start the first walk of about 35 minutes until we reach the ACCOMMODATION FOR THE FIRST NIGHT to leave the things we do not require and then START THE WALK towards the Humantay lagoon; the walk takes about 40 minutes to reach the best photo location.

Vacationers who want to rest or relax around the Lodge to ENJOY the panoramic views of SALKANTAY and HUMANTAY can also do so to have incredible views of the tourist area SORAYPAMPA.

If the sky is clear, we can see some shooting stars combined with the snowy peaks of the Salkantay mountain range, or we can also see the southern cross with the milky way. Even so, a night full of stars is incredible for our experience in the foothills of Salkantay.
