Early in the morning, we travel by train to the beginning of the Short Inca Trail, towards kilometer 104 of the railway. We present our passports, entrance tickets, and annexes to the control to enter the Inca Trail network of Machu Picchu officially.
Enjoy an incredible 5-hour hike through the Andes and Cloud Forest to the Init Punku viewpoint for great views of the majestic Machu Picchu. During the walk, explore the ruins of Chachabamba, Wiñaywayna, and Inti Punku.

Visit the imposing temple of Sacsayhuaman with its three gigantic zigzagging walls facing the sunrise. The Sacsayhuaman esplanade is one of the largest, and the Inti Raymi, or sun festival, continues today. Then, explore Tambomachay, the beautiful Inca fountain with its imperial Inca construction.
The guided tour ends by visiting the ruins of Puca Pucara and Qenqo. Qenqo has a circular Inca plaza with a central monolith and open and underground paths that lead to the stone ceremonial table for ancestral rituals.
