Day 1

The lagoon of Humantay is one of the beautiful sites of the Andes. The panoramic views are stunning from Humantay, Salkantay, and the high Andean mountains.

  • At 5:30 am, pick up from your hotel [CUSCO].
  • Private transfer to the trailhead “Soraypampa.”
  • Accommodation: Salkantay Pampa 4,154m/13,625ft. “highest point”
  • Hiking Distance: 9 km/5.5 miles
  • Estimated duration: 5 hours
  • Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging
  • Meals: Lunch, Dinner.

Day 2

The views are stunning. On the second day, walk to the highest point of the hike.

  • Start of hiking: 5:30 am.
  • Hiking Distance: 22 Km /13.67 miles.
  • Estimated duration: 7-8 hours hike
  • Highest point: 4,640m / 15,200 feet “Salkantay Pass”
  • Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging.
  • Accommodation: Collpapampa 2,870m/9,414 ft.
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 3

Hike through the high jungle located between the Challhuay and Totora rivers. See beautiful plantations of passion fruit “Granadilla,” coffee crops “recognized as one of the best in the world.”

We find several streams, a waterfall, all the time, the crystalline river of the Andean snow-capped mountains will accompany us.

  • Accommodation: Lucmabamba  2,870m/ 9,414 ft. Lucma is a place of adventure, nature, fun, and excitement.

Day 4

Walk along the Inca trail that goes from Lucmabamba to Llactapata. Observe from a distance the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu from the heights of the Andes.

  • Estimated duration: 5-hour hike
  • Hiking from Lucmabamba to Llactapata – Hydro.
  • Train: Hidroelectrica to Aguas Calientes

Day 5

Hike along the Inca Trail from kilometer 104 of the railway.

  3. Walking Distance – 16km / 9.9 miles
  4. Accommodation – 3 Star Hotel “A.C. Pueblo.”
  5. Difficulty – Moderate.

Day 6: Machu Picchu

We take an early breakfast at your hotel; we board the bus service to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
