perfect trip to the Rainbow Mountains and the Red Valley with Kondor Path Tours!
Usually, I don't write many reviews, however, this one is more than deserved: We just returned from a horse riding tour to the Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley (near Cusco, Peru), which was one of the most fascinating and best organized tours we've ever done! Fantastic views on such an unusual and beautifol landscape, a very friendly and helpful guide, easy horse riding through the mountainside and finally, a tasty lunch to round up the experience :)In particular, I would like to stress out two more positive aspects: 1) One day prior to the tour, Kondor Path Tours proactively sent us a reminder e-mail with all necessary information, as well as pick-up time, etc. 2) There were just 2 of us and no other tourists in the gorup, so - instead of cancelling due to the lack of participants like some other tour operaters would have done - we got essentially a private tour with a personal guide with from-door-to-door (our hotel in Cusco) service. To sum it up, if you want to go to the Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley (we definitely recommend doing both!) from Cusco - and particularly, if you are preferring a convenient horse ride - we definitely recommend doing it with Kondor Path Tours, which you definitely won't regret!

So glad we chose Kondor Path
Our family of four did a 2 day tour which included Chinchero, Moray and the Maras salt ponds, Ollantaytambo, and Machu Picchu. It was amazing and well organized! It was wonderful to have a guide. Alfredo was personable and knew his stuff. I appreciated his knowledge of the sites and also the little things he told us about different parts of the culture and what was happening when we walked through the towns. It was just our family so it was a nice, personalized experience.I know some people are comfortable doing everything on their own, but for me, going to a completely new place, it was a relief to leave the details to someone else and have someone to tell us the how and where of all the different tickets for entry, bus, and train. It made the trip worry-free.

Best Cusco Perú Tour Company
We had 3 jam packed days with Tour Guide Odon & Driver Julio from Kondor Tours. Super Sacred Valley 1 Day Tour was totally amazing !! We got to see over 10 different places and it was impossible to pick a favorite. Odon taught us so much history and interesting facts about the area the day flew by. Our very talented, experienced driver Julio got us safely to each destination. Our next tour day was for my 60th Birthday at Rainbow Mountain. When I called to change the horseback riding to dirt bikes James was there to make everything happen. Such a kind, patient customer service representative , probably the best I have ever encountered. Once again Julio got us safely to our destination & on time. Once again Odon made our day the best it could ever be. He got us promptly to the dirt bikes and walked us up the short but challenging climb to the top. We had breathtaking views and amazing company. Odon never let us down being there for all our needs, and a great photographer as well. We felt as if we were out in an adventure with a good friend, as well as an amazing tour guide. Machu Picchu was a long and exhausting day but totally worth the time. Once again Julio got us safely to our destination. Odon was there to make another amazing adventure come true. I felt so safe and comfortable knowing that he would be getting us to the train on time as well as the bus ride to Machu Picchu. Odon once again didn’t disappoint, his knowledge, kindness and helping us every step of this journey was unforgettable. We give 5 ⭐️’s & Totally Recommend Kondor Tours Cusco - if you book a trip tell James April from NJ says Hi and ask for the best tour guide on the planet Odon & his faithful driver Julio, You won’t be disappointed!!!

Highly recommended
We took the 4 day tour with Alfredo as our guide and we couldn’t be any happier . Alfredo is very passionate about his culture and we learned a lot about Quechuas and Incas. We were supposed to hike up Huayna Picchu but the rains closed off the trail (this a risk you’ll have to take when traveling in march ) .. however , even if we missed the hike , Alfredo made up for it by going through Circuit 3 and offered a lot more insight into the ruins . That was Macchu Picchu but there was so much more in the 4 day tour - Cusco, Ollantaytambo and lastly, Rainbow Mountain. Alfredo had oxygen and even when one of us got nausea, thankfully we didn’t need it - our guide was on top of it. We also wanted to taste Cuy and they fit it into our schedule . As first time travelers to Peru, we wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if we did things on our own . We highly recommend Kondor Tours - it’s so worth the cost .

An adventure like no other, not to be missed.
This was a bucket list item and well worth it. We were nervous because of the altitude, but it was ok. Our guide made it really special. He walked up and down while we ride the horses. He was there with us every step of the way and even played a flute so we got to listen to Andes music while riding horseback at high elevation in the Andes. What’s not to love about that. We were lucky that it didn’t rain on us (January) but the risk was worth it (fewer people). The door to door service was right on, the drive to the mountain was beautiful, the lunch was amazing and we were very well taken care of. If you go to Peru, don’t miss this (if you’re confident you don’t get altitude sick).
