Day 1: Explore the Sacred Valley (PM) Train ride to Aguas Calientes

Explore the Sacred Valley and board the train to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon.
We start the trip from the city of Cusco at 7:00 in the direction of Taray in the Sacred Valley. TARAY is a natural balcony to observe the valley, the Andes mountain range, and the traditional populations along the Urubamba River. PISAC: The panoramic views of the Inca ruins of Pisaq on the agricultural platforms are spectacular when walking through them and exploring the different archaeological sites that comprise them. After visiting Pisac Inca, we drive to the traditional market of Pisac to buy souvenirs or take many photos of conventional handicrafts while walking through the typical streets with “30 minutes of free time.”
We continue the journey through the sacred valley along the Urubamba River to Ollantayambo. The archaeological site of Ollantaytambo is located in the middle of three valleys, facilitating the control of the area. You surprise every visitor when walking along the Inca trails and visiting the Ollantaytambo temples that make them up. After the guided tour of Ollantaytambo, we must quickly go to the train station to board the train service. The tourist train leaves on time, so we must be at the indicated time. After the train ride, we will go to your hotel to rest and prepare to explore Machu Picchu the next day.

During the morning, there will be a guided visit to Machu Picchu and then a return to Cusco in the afternoon.
After a breakfast buffet at our hotel, our tour guide shows up to pick up the visitors and take them to the bus station. As soon as we boarded the bus for the “30-minute trip,” we reached Machu Picchu’s main entrance.
To enter Machu Picchu, we must present our original passport and entrance ticket. We enter the seventh wonder of the world and head towards the house of the Inca watchman to have the best panoramic view of the entire Inca citadel.
Following the breathtaking pictures, the two-hour guided tour exploring every resultant site that makes up the city of Machu Picchu begins. We take the bus back to Aguas Calientes to catch the train after the guided tour. We travel approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from Aguas Calientes to Ollantayambo.” Then, we’ll travel by van for 25 minutes from Ollantaytambo to your hotel.

Explore Rainbow Mountain by walking after traveling to Machu Picchu
The activities begin at 05:00 with the vehicle trip until arriving at the start of the adventure: “03 hours of travel; 02 by road; 01 hours by dirt track.”
We can see the beautiful Andes mountains and the Ausangate mountain range when we arrive. Some of the mountains have ice and snow. The trek takes 1 hour and 20 minutes of walking to adapt to the high elevations of the Andes. Once at the top, we will have a beautiful panoramic view of the rainbow mountain in splendor and other colored mountains with a 360-degree view. The return is more accessible because we descend further down. We will be back in Cusco between 02:30 and 03:30 in the afternoon.
