This cycling trip takes you through the stunning landscapes of the Sacred Valley in Peru, from the ancient Incan agricultural terraces of Moray to the historic town of Ollantaytambo. You’ll ride through picturesque villages, past snow-capped mountains, and along the banks of the Urubamba River.
At 08:30, travel from Cusco to whereabouts 37 in Maras. We prepare the bicycles to begin the experience of riding through the highlands of Moray towards Ollantaytambo and visiting the spectacular ruins by bike.
Explore the Moray Ruins, 3500 meters (11,482 feet), by entering the circular lookouts and platforms. Then, continue through the mountains on a dirt road towards Pachar, 2800 meters (9,186 feet) “close to the Urubamba River and the Sacred Valley.” In Pachar, the vehicle awaits us to load the bicycles and visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo. We return to Cusco by the Pachar highway. If clients require that we drop them off in Ollantaytambo or Urubamba, we will gladly do so; just let us know.
