The Thermal Baths of Machacancha are located 8 kilometers northwest of Calca, on the road connecting Lares and Calca, at an altitude of 3,050 meters.
The thermal bath has three large pools where visitors can relax. Its waters have an average temperature of 40ºC, and the facilities include a glass roof with a metallic structure, dressing rooms, and toilets.
The properties of water are favorable for rheumatism, gout, anemia, neurasthenia, and conditions in the liver. Water characteristics: yellowish color, odorless, pleasant metallic taste, limpid appearance. Classification of water: sodium, magnesium, bicarbonated, sulfated, and a high percentage of potassium chloride and silicon.
Calca is 50.5 kilometers from Cusco, an hour’s drive, and approximately 18 kilometers from Pisac. It offers two magnificent thermal baths (Machacancha and Minas Moqo) and the opportunity to visit the archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo.
