Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain in 3 Days

The 3 Day Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain Tour is the most action-packed short itinerary in our Cusco catalog. In just three days you visit the three iconic destinations that define a trip to Peru: the Sacred Valley with Pisac and Ollantaytambo, the Machu Picchu sanctuary, and the surreal Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca, 5,100 m).

This is the perfect choice for travelers with limited time who refuse to compromise. Instead of picking between Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain, you get both — plus the cultural depth of the Sacred Valley — in three compact days designed by our local Cusco team.

Two reasons travelers choose Kondor for this tour:

First, we are a direct local operator in Cusco — not an agency, not a reseller, not an aggregator. Your booking goes through our DIRCETUR-licensed office in Cusco. You pay the source price.

Second, you choose your own hotels. We don’t bundle hotels into the price with hidden markups. You pick your accommodation in Cusco and Aguas Calientes freely; we coordinate pickup directly from your chosen hotel.

Overview

3 Day Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain Overview

Most travelers visiting Cusco with limited time face an impossible choice: Machu Picchu OR Rainbow Mountain? This 3-day itinerary solves that dilemma. By compressing logistics with our direct operator efficiency, we deliver both icons plus the Sacred Valley in three carefully sequenced days.

The pacing is built around smart altitude management: Day 1 you descend from Cusco (3,350 m) into the Sacred Valley (2,800 m) and Aguas Calientes (2,040 m) for a comfortable first night. Day 2 visits Machu Picchu (2,400 m) and returns to Cusco. Day 3 — after two nights at Cusco-area altitudes — you visit Rainbow Mountain at 5,100 m with your body already adapted.
