Moray Hiking 01-day – In the Moray area, we find a colonial road that leads to the town of Maras and then to the Salineras mines. The archaeological site intertwines with the Inca roads between the four Moray platforms.
Moray Maras Hike is a semi-plane half-day trail with moderate descent! Moray is the best idea to walk through the Andes and the sites of the Incas. Starting with Moray, then arriving in the town of Maras, and ending at the Urubamba River but without first exploring and tasting the salt of the Incas in Salinas.

The Maras Salt Mines trek do locate 3,000 meters above sea level and approximately 01 hour and a half from the city of Cusco. These are salt mines, and their exploitation is as old as the Tahuantinsuyo. Located on the hillside, the Maras salt mines, on terraces or platforms, are filled by subway water that flows down the creek. The origin of the source of the water is still a mystery.
The terraces of Moray are agricultural terraces built in depressions or gigantic natural pits. These terraces are superimposed concentrically, taking the form of a massive Inca amphitheater. The most profound deck is 150 m, and its average height is 1.80 m.
This Moray Maras Hike tour is perfect for those who want to contact the Inca history and learn more about the local communities.
