Inca Jungle Tour; Including Biking, Rafting, Trekking and Zipline 4 Days / 3 Nights

Inca Jungle Tour – 4 Day we have the perfect combination for outdoor activities, being one of the most complete in the Cusco region in Peru. We combine the beautiful views of the Andes to begin to descend on bicycles towards the jungle of Cusco and then paddle through the white waters of the Lower Urubamba River. We will walk along the wilderness Inca Trail to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo to enjoy one of the best hot waters in all of Peru due to the adequate temperature and little presence of sulfur. We continue the activities with the crossing of cables by the zip line, then continue on foot along the railroad track until we reach the town of Machu Picchu. On the last day, we walk to Machu Picchu to visit and have a guided tour around this beautiful Inca citadel built with stones. To finish; We have the ascent to Huayna Picchu or Mountain, thus complete four days of adventure through the Andes and the jungle of Cusco.

DAY 1: Cusco – Santa Maria (Biking – Rafting).

We leave the city of Cusco towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas to climb the Abra Malaga pass. Once we get to the Malaga pass, we get ready to start our bicycle tour along the paved track until we reach the vicinity of Carrizales and Huaman Marca. We have lunch in the town of Santa María and then go canoeing in the Lower Urubamba River. The places and microclimates are varied because we start the bike tour in the heights of the Andes and then gradually descend towards the Huiro jungle.

  • 07:00 – 08:30 Start of the trip from Cusco to Ollantaytambo “Sacred Valley.”
  • 08:30 – 09:00 Breakfast in the town of Ollantaytambo.
  • 09:00 – 10:00 Continuation of the trip from Ollantaytambo to the Abra Málaga pass.
  • 10:00 – 13:00 Start the bike tour from Abra Málaga to Huamanmarca “Scott bikes with front suspension and hydraulic brakes, sizes m, s.”
  • 13:00 – 13:30 Transfer by vehicle from Huamanmarca to the town of Santa María.

  • 17:00 – 17:30 Transfer by vehicle from the river to the lodging in Santa María.
  • 17:30 – 19:00 Free time to settle in “basic accommodation,” rest, or walk through the town of Santa María.
  • 19:00 – 19:30 Dinner and explanation of the second day of the tour.

DAY 2: Santa Maria to Santa Teresa (Trekking + Hot Springs).

Today we have the walkthrough the mountain jungle and the Inca Trail, passing coffee plantations. It does recommend to bring water, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. We will have an incredible experience of observing a coffee demonstration and observing some animals in the area. Once we conquer the pass of the jungle Inca Trail, we begin to descend towards the native community of Quellomayo to have our local lunch.

We then continue the hike upriver to the local cable car to cross to the other side of the river. A few steps away are the beautiful thermal baths of Cocalmayo, an ideal place to relax for about two hours and enjoy an ice-cold drink. The last journey is made by local vehicle until we reach the town of Santa Teresa to go to our lodge

  • 06:45 – 07:00 Local transportation service from Santa María to the start of the Inca Trail “15 minutes of travel.”
  • 07:00 – 12:00 Walk through the Inca Trail of the jungle.
  • 08:00 – 08:30 Demonstration of coffee in the hut is an hour’s hike up from the beginning of the Inca Trail.
  • 12:00 – 13:00 Lunch in the Quellomayo community on the banks of the Urubamba River.
  • 13:00 – 16:30 Walk to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo.
  • 16:30 – 18:30 Time to enjoy the thermal baths of Cocalmayo. After the thermal baths, optional take a cold Cuzqueña beer “Not included.”
  • 18:30 – 18:45 Transfer service in local transport from the thermal baths of Cocalmayo to the town of Santa Teresa.
  • 19:30 Dinner and rest in the standard lodging in the town of Santa Teresa

DAY 3: Santa Teresa “Zipline” – Hike from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes

One of the morning activities is to cross from one side of the mountain to the other to experience the Zipline; there are several cables so that visitors can feel the adrenaline rush of flying like a condor. At the end of the zip line tour, we go by local transport to the Hidroeléctrica train station; From this sector, we begin our three-hour walk to reach the town of Aguas Calientes, following the path of the railway train. In different sectors of the walk, we will observe different panoramic angles of the enigmatic citadel of Machu Picchu.

  • 07:45 – 08:15 Transfer in local transportation to the zip line base camp.
  • 08:15 – 09:00 Registration and equipment of harnesses for the experience of the zip line tour.

DAY 4: Machu Picchu Guided Tour + Huayna Picchu + Train to Ollantaytambo

We get up early to start the trek to Machu Picchu; the first section follows a dirt road leading to Puente Ruinas’s control. At 5:00, the authority will allow us to enter to start using the Inca Trail, 01 hours climbing the steps until we reach the main door of Machu Picchu. Before entering Machu Picchu, we must present our ticket and passport personally. The guided tour takes approximately two hours to explore the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu fully.
