Our travel departs from Cusco at 05:00 towards the northwest of Cusco; we pass the Anta plain to descend towards the Pomatales ravine, enter the Sacred Valley, and ascend towards the Malaga Pass.
From the Málaga pass, we descend through the cloud forest to Santa María. The climate is warm between Santa María and Santa Teresa because it is close to the Quillabamba mountain jungle.
Enjoy the Amazon trek exploring beautiful scenic landscapes like the various plantations that the locals plant, such as coffee, banana, citrus, and coca leaf. At the end of the walk, we board our tourist transport to Santa Teresa and get ready to go to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo.

DEPARTURES FROM SANTA TERESA in a local transport at 06:20 to go to Hidroeléctrica “Approximately 35 minutes of travel” We arrive at Hidroeléctrica at 07:00, an ideal time to wait and board the train service at a convenient time before STARTING THE TRAVEL BY TRAIN TO AGUAS CALIENTES.
At 7:40, the Hydroelectric train leaves for Aguas Calientes (the trip takes 30 minutes bordering the Machu Picchu Sanctuary and the side of the Urubamba River); we arrive at the AGUAS CALIENTES train station at 08:34.
We have adequate time to explore Aguas Calientes town so that at 10:15, we board the bus service to go to Machu Picchu. OUR GUIDED TOUR starts at 11:00 in the morning. For two hours, we visit the beautiful Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, we board the tourist train back to Cusco.

All these towns are at a lower altitude than Cusco and are not above 2400 meters above sea level. The temperature varies during the year between 10°C and 25 °C. On the biking section, you should wear a raincoat.
The best time to visit Machu Picchu through the Inca Jungle is between March and November.
